Panagiotis Bamidis (Assoc. Professor, Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki),

Michael Zervakis (Professor, School of Electronic & Computer Engineering, School of Engineering, Technical University of Crete)

Target

The special session is aiming to reveal the latest emerging medical imaging technologies beyond the conventional ones to the new generation of medical imaging and systems, such as very high frequency ultrasound imaging, elastography, photo/opto acoustic imaging, thermal and infrared imaging, infrared spectroscopic imaging, magnetic resonance imaging, and functional neuroimaging. Advanced signal processing techniques that incorporate these techniques are welcome. Preclinical and clinical applications could also be included in the presentations.

Keywords, Techniques: Ultrasounds, Acoustic Microscopy, Photoacoustic, Elastography Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Thermal imaging, Spectroscopic Mapping Imaging, Polarized Imaging, imaging functional brain connectivity.
